Buildings the color of dried clay, carved stucco doorways, light falling through latticed screens. This is not a gentle introduction. It is Morocco at full volume.
The country also includes the blue city of Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains, the medieval medina of Fez that UNESCO describes as the largest living medieval city in the world, the Sahara at Merzouga where the dunes rise 500 feet, and the Atlantic coast towns of Essaouira and Agadir that operate at a completely different pace. Morocco rewards the traveler who plans enough time to move through more than one of these registers.

Getting Started

Begin planning your customized trip today. The country is Arabic and Berber (Amazigh) in culture, with a French overlay from the protectorate period (1912-1956). Arabic, Berber, French, and Darija (Moroccan Arabic) are all in use. The dirham (MAD) is the currency. The four imperial cities – Fez, Marrakech, Meknes, and Rabat – each served as Morocco’s capital at different points in history and each has a distinct character.

Travel Offerings

Custom Private Travel

Cultural & Heritage Travel

Desert Expeditions

Culinary Experiences

Small Group Travel

Wellness & Hammam Experiences

       Contact Us Today

   Travel Guide

    Resources
    Things To Do
    LGBT+ Info
    Best Times to Visit
       Resources

U.S. citizens need a valid passport; no visa required for stays up to 90 days.

Currency is MAD (Moroccan Dirham).

Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca (CMN) is the primary gateway; Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) handles direct flights from some European hubs.

Internal travel by train (ONCF) is excellent between Casablanca, Rabat, Meknes, and Fez.

Private drivers are standard for the Sahara route and for inter-city flexibility.

Riad accommodations (traditional courtyard townhouses in the medinas) are the appropriate choice for the main cities – the experience of a well-restored riad is part of the destination.

       Things To Do

Fez el-Bali (the Old Medina): UNESCO-listed, the largest vehicle-free urban area in the world.
