Travel Insurance
Protecting You and Your Vacation
Planning an extraordinary adventure involves many exciting details, but it's also wise to consider the unexpected. Travel insurance is designed to protect your financial investment and health during your trip.
Travel insurance helps protect your travel investment, belongings, health and safety, and other losses related to travel. It can cover things from trip cancellations and interruptions to medical emergencies, lost luggage, and more.
Breakout Travel cares for its clients and feels an obligation to help you understand the basics. We utilize two vetted and respected travel insurance leaders to help you with the unanticipated.
While not mandatory, travel insurance is extremely beneficial for most travelers. It is especially critical for expensive trips or international travel, where your domestic health coverage may not apply.
Think of it as a safety net, providing peace of mind so you can focus on what's important - experiencing your vacation to create lifelong memories.
We strive for transparency and want the best for you. Read below for more information and some coverage options.
Types of Travel Insurance
There are single-trip policies, which are the most common, as well as annual policies for frequent travelers. Most people purchase single-trip comprehensive Trip Insurance (also called Package or Vacation Insurance), which includes all main coverages in one policy. Here are some of the main coverage types:
-
Trip Cancellation and Interruption
Reimburses prepaid, non-refundable trip costs if you must cancel or cut your trip short for covered reasons.
-
Emergency Illness or Injury
Coverage for illness or injury while abroad when domestic health insurance doesn't apply.
-
Baggage Delay, Loss or Theft
Reimbursement for lost, stolen, or damaged luggage
-
Unexpected Delays
Provides you protection due to certain disruptions during your journey
Additional protections may be available, such as Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR), Cruise Insurance and Student Travel.
